Addressing mental health issues with The Callit App

As we continue to focus on addressing mental health and wellbeing in the workplace and on set, today we welcome Kate Wilson of Callit App to share some insight and information about this innovative and easy-to-use tool:

“We know poor mental health in the workplace costs the UK economy upwards of £45B per annum (Deloitte Thriving at Work, 2020).  Experiences impacting mental health include bullying, harassment and discrimination, poor working conditions and unsafe working environments and practices.

The best business leaders will want to mitigate risks to mental health by inviting contemporaneous, anonymous feedback from employees and freelancers. This empowers them to address shortcomings and create the fairest and safest possible workplace.

The Call It! App is a data collection and signposting tool which asks three questions:

  • How were you treated at work today?

  • Do you have any concerns regarding health and safety, safeguarding, working conditions or modern slavery?

  • Did you experience bullying or harassment at work today?

By inviting workers to spend just a few seconds anonymously answering these simple questions, business leaders can track their teams’ experiences.  The Call It! App provides an opportunity for early intervention if problems arise and an essential, quantitative evidence base for measuring workplace culture.

Additionally, it signposts app users to relevant policies and procedures, a person with whom to have a confidential conversation and third party support and resources.  Most importantly, by using the Call It! App in a business, you are telling everybody there that their mental health matters”
