Screen Manchester attend The Kusp & MetFilm Manchester’s regional meet up

Earlier this week Screen Manchester attended Social Enterprise The Kusp x MetFilm Manchester’s second regional meet-up. There, they introduced Screen Manchester as a film office that connects attendees with locations across the city and its crew database. The guests were a mixture of MetFilm School students, but mainly filmmakers and creatives from Greater Manchester’s underrepresented communities.

MetFilm School in Manchester is a leading institution for film, television, and online media education, offering a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and short courses designed to develop practical, industry-ready skills across key creative disciplines.

The Kusp is a not-for-profit social enterprise dedicated to improving industry access and career progression for under-represented talent in film, TV, and digital media—specifically supporting ethnic minority, lower socio-economic, neurodivergent, and disabled groups.

Events like this remind us that Manchester is one of the UK’s most dynamic hubs for film and television production.

Thanks to The Kusp and Manchester MetFilm for inviting us to be a part of this brilliant event.
