Film and TV Charity: Building Supportive Environments

This week is Mental Health Awareness Week and at Screen Manchester we are focused on introducing you to some of the wonderful people we work with who shine a light on issues around mental health and more importantly make positive change happen.

Today it is the turn of our friends at Film and TV Charity who are helping to equip organisations with the tools they need to build supportive environments where wellbeing comes first.

Last year we welcomed Film and TV Charity’s team to be a part of our Screen Alliance North Connected Communities Event. This was supported by BFI with National Lottery Funding and so many important issues were discussed by our distinguished panel of Industry professionals. Everyone left with new perspectives and action points to work through and the feedback from the audience continues to be phenomenally encouraging.

Later in the year at our Summer Social we were delighted to host Film and TV Charity again as they presented their Looking Glass Survey to Northern professionals from all disciplines and we were treated to a presentation which scoped out game-changing resources and the Whole Picture Toolkit they have created which contains everything productions need to advocate for better workplace practices.
